Here are the " 8 Pillars " of the Tao
According to the precepts decreed by the monks Taoïstes, since more of 6000 years, the Tao is immortal. For these sages it embodies the soul indeed. Observers, as much as purists, they studied the stances, the reactions, and the behaviors of most animals. All techniques of relaxation, and even of martial arts as the karate, are inspired of the gestural Taoist.

NORTH - WEST:

Rotation of the superior part of the body, facing the sun; the head follows the movement of rotation, the eyes are closed and retracent the radiant heat source given out by the sun. This exercise is good for the nerves, the liver, the eyes, the gall bladder as well as to lose the weight.
SOUTH - IS
To hoist itself on tiptoe slowly, then to belittle the heels. This exercise is good for the nerves, the liver, the gall bladder and the heart.
SOUTH
To make rotations of hip, as if one had a hoop around the size. To change sense at will, while taking care not to let the mind wander. This exercise is good for the sexual organs.
SOUTH - WEST
Position of fight; knees and arms slightly bent, tight fists. To hoist itself on tiptoe, while expressing rage in the eyes. This exercise is good for the digestive system, the lungs and the nerves.
WEST
To raise an arm in airs, then to let fall again suddenly him; to change arm. The abdomen must not move. To follow the rise of the arm with the eyes. This exercise relieves the pains of the low of the back, and of the shoulders. It is efficient against the problems of kidneys and the pains to the backbone.
The ANIMALS:
DRAGON
This exercise acts on the mind of a person and help to surmount its feelings of depression, anger, anguish and hostility. It balances the heart, the blood vessels and the absorption in the spindly intestine.
TIGER

MONKEY
Associated to element water, it stimulates the feature of the kidneys and the bladder.

THIS EXERCISE FORTIFIES THE INTESTINES, THE CÔLON AND THE INTERNAL ORGANS OF THE ABDOMEN.
It tones up the abdominal muscles and heals the constipation and the diarrhea in addition to be excellent for the stance and the backbone.
1) standing Position, tense arms before oneself, slightly above the chest the palms turned toward soil;
2) to inspire deeply until the lungs are filled of air; the thorax dilates itself;
3) to expire very slowly while using the abdominal muscles solely to hunt the air of the lungs. While expiring, to lower the arms at the same time then along the body to contract the abdominal muscles as much that possible, without feeling discomfort;
4) to bring back the arms in initial position and to begin the following inspiration.
